Pain, The Greatest Teacher Part 1 & 2

Recently I spoke to my editor from The Iskandarian/WAVES Lifestyle newspaper about turning my articles into audio materials. The idea is to cater people who prefer listening than reading. Furthermore, I have many articles from past years that is still useful for the audiences. And she gave me the green light to start the project.

The articles are short. The published articles contain about 300 to 310 words, and the audio comes with three minutes video. So I geared up yesterday for recording and editing. And today I have two videos to share.

My first pick is articles (two parts) about Pain, The Greatest Teacher. No one likes pain. However, if we are willing to acknowledge our pain and be with it, the pain we feel can teach us many things about ourselves and Life.

Remember that even pain has a quality, and the quality of the pain depends on the quality of observer.

Enjoy the videos.

Are You in an Abusive Relationship?

Here’s what you need to know. People who are stuck in an abusive relationship are not stupid. Abusive is not just an act but also a chain of energy.

I wrote two articles about it and focused on the energetic level and explained why abusive relationships are challenging to get rid, and how to shift our awareness about it.

This Is My Story of LOVE

This is about Love and me and how I view Love differently now.

I was a different person seven years ago, and far way different 10 to 15 years ago. But the essence of who I Am is the same. Deep inside I could feel the same Me. That makes me realised that I Am the same Love. The only different now is I let Love express with freedom.

I used to be afraid to say ‘I Love You’ because I thought ‘I Love You’ means a commitment between two people. I hardly say it to my late dad. I felt awkward. Few hours before he passed away, he stared at me. That look was different, and it came from deep inside of him. I stared at him, but I didn’t even say ‘I Love You‘. It was Love looking at Love, but I never learn to say it.

That Awkwardness Shouldn’t Happen to My Mother.

I didn’t do it consciously. I just felt the need to express love to her without fear being judged (mostly by myself…didn’t we all judge ourselves?). So I said a lot of Love to my late mom years before she passed away. Nights after nights of “Good night Mom, I Love You”, that Love changed her and me. Few days before she passed away, we spoke only Love. She said, “I Miss You”. That was her last words and that was good enough to keep me going knowing she is loved.

And that was a long time ago. And I never stop learning to Love even though I had to go through moments of Tough Love. I guess I’m lucky because Universe sent me people who have already tasted the higher Love to assist me in discovering the essence of Love I had within me.

It took seven years to be our New Self entirely, so they said.

And as I live LBe The Love And Peaceove, I realised that Love can be so different, and it comes in so many forms. First I felt is about me and my feeling. Then Love goes deeper into my cells. It brought up all kind of pain so I could Love my body, my being and my Soul. Then Love appeared in the sounds of birds, in the movement of winds, in the colours of plants, in the silence of the night. Now I feel it in every breath. And it is still unfolding to me with wonders and beauty.

And whatever that I’m describing Love through my experiences can only be so limited because I had put words on it. So please don’t take everything I wrote here as ‘that’s all about Love‘. Love is more than the words I shared with you. Nevertheless, I hope the sharing could expand a little bit of our awareness towards Love.

Love Is…

Unconditional.

It feels higher. It is more fluid, gentle and peace. I remember looking into someone’s eyes and I felt suspended between knowing and unknowing. That’s Love recognising Love. It is for Self, everyone and everything. I now could easily say I Love You to anyone who needs it. I love saying it to animals, to plants…to the Moon, the Stars, the Sun…to anything. I said it to the pain I felt. Commitment doesn’t bother me anymore because this Love has no sensation of lust, ownership, guilt or shame.

Just so you know, Love heals! It healed me. It can heal you. But first, you have to allow yourself to be Loved; by YOU, by the Universe, by anyone and anything without judgement. Let go that old belief about I Love You. Accept it unconditionally. And never give up on Love.

Then learn to Love yourself. Learn to be YOU. Love is Your Self. Be that Love and spread it to the world.

Good night Beautiful Souls. It’s 11.50pm in the other side of the world.
I Love You, whoever you are, wherever you are!

Why Forgiveness Fail Big Time?

It has been more than a year I have choose silence over words to blog. In that period, I dived into left-brain world of business, bringing my spirituality quest to experience the real bites of left-brain business. In nearly 20 months, I allowed myself (unconsciously and consciously) to feel the pain; mentally, emotionally and physically.

When we talked about spirituality, we have to put our ego on the table. Everything that I experienced, the likes and dislikes, the happiness and unhappiness; and all its interpretations, can be somewhat related to the ego-self. And that’s the hardest part because facing our ego-self means, all the blames on others must be witnessed instead of judged, accepted instead of condemned and complained.

I must say, failure is inevitable, but success is rewarding especially to our self-evolution.

After I have experienced what left-brain business can do and cannot do, I seek my way back to the journey I desire long time ago. The only different is, this time I know why I’m here and what I need to do for others.

However deeply and excited I am about expanding the business and life entirely, I’m aware that, the stone I’m about to cast into a calm water must come from the state of Love. Intention is very powerful. The effects will reflect the intentions all the way to the end (if the end exist). Forgiveness and You Based on this fact, I decided to start a detachment process in details. The very first things I should do is experience forgiveness. I planned the entire February for this process because I’m leaving the company I worked for 20 months in February. My goal was; all the pain I felt for the past 20 months and the old pains including fears, hatreds, jealousy, resentments, must be transcended as much as I can.

I just want to leave the place feeling peace about everything.

Therefore, I intentionally wrote about Forgiveness in the Iskandarian e-paper for March and April 2015 publication.

All I can sum up about forgiveness is as below:

Forgiveness is about facing our own ego. What truly hurt is the ego.

Our body (the emotion and the physical body) release the pain based on what the mind says (the ego-self). Along this process, we forget the deeper side of who we are, the Soul, is in fact part of the process too.

Where’s the Soul stand in this process?

The energy of forgiveness never comes from our lips and tongue. If we say “I forgive you”, chances we just being nice and pretending are high. The source of forgiveness come from Love, and the place that contains this Love is our Soul. And we constantly forget our Souls, and remain in the state of ego, the place that use pain to live. That could explain why we keep feeling hurts even after we say “I forgive you”.

I truly adore people who refrain themselves from giving others forgiveness because they mean honesty. But that bring us into another state of pain; resistance from allowing forgiveness to flow. Either way, pain is the result.

What I’m sharing with you is about giving back the power to the soul (the real YOU) and let Our True Self, do the forgiveness from the within. The energy of forgiving will emanate healing through us, flow to our mind and body. The forgiveness will not just forgive but heal all sort of pains, mentally, emotionally and physically. And it free us from unnecessary accumulation of pain. This is ‘I forgive You’ that means business.

Let’s stop giving the false power of forgiveness to the ego-mind because it can only forgive with sense of ego and that cannot even free us from the pain, even if it tries.

Thank you and I Am Grateful to be back!

How to Deal with Thoughts of Failure?

Go make mistakes today.

The first response you will get for yourself is FEAR. A sign your ego is at its defense ‘you cannot make mistakes because mistake is humiliating. You cannot fail because failure is humiliating’. Let the thought be. Acknowledge it but do not give energy to it. Do not analyze how far the future mistakes and failures would be. Don’t think further than the first thought.
This can stop the fear of failure from growing as a feeling, where it will let you sail with your unconscious belief that you can never achieve success in your life. If you sail together with these thoughts of failure far from your consciousness and far away from your awareness, you have already failed in reality.

Then make your first step, an opposite step of failure; a successful step. This is a crucial step because to do the opposite of failure is already a success. This success is far greater than the one you imagine would happen in the future because it heals the fear of failure in you in an instant. And because it increases your self-esteem one strength at the time.

Never fear failure because failure and success are equally divided. If you are making a success, you must expect failures. Likewise, if you are making failures, you must expect success. Both successes and failures draw each other closer. When you think of success, your mind draws the thought of failure too. When you think of failure, your mind draws the thought of success for you. It is not the success or failure that brings the fear in you but the conflict you have when these two entities draw each other. So it is important to aware that this is just your mind bring balance for you.

And for the third step, practice surrender. Sometimes thoughts can go wild on making you feel like a failure. Whatever you are thinking in your mind, ALWAYS trust your feeling, intuition, guts, God; that whatever failures you are experiencing, it is happening to MAKE YOU A SUCCESSFUL PERSON.

Now take a deep breath and get ready to make mistakes and face failures. Learn and forgive yourself along the journey. And see what is unfolding for you.

Treasure in YOU

We are so caught in the unconscious patterns in searching the self-identification through materialism. We search the world of love and peacefulness through physical treasures like body slimming, fancy cloths, expensive cars and more money. And along the journey to this quest, we become more lack than we first started. Why is that?

The answer is we have lost connection with our true treasure, the SELF within. We spend time focusing on external worlds and treasures and we forget what matters the most is ourselves; the soul that lives in this physical body, the perfect body and health we have, the balance emotions and the powerful mind.

Today, you can start spending 10 minutes on this activity; change your focus from the external world (from money, relationships with others, problems, illness) to your inner world. Only 10 minutes as a start and let us start with one part of the body.

1. Close your eyes.
2. Breathe, inhale and exhale deeply.
3. Focus only on your breath for a moment.
4. Feels the energy living inside you. Feel your hands from within.
5. Acknowledge the hands that feed food into your mouth, the hands that heal others through touches. Feels it but not thinking about it.
6. Feels the love you have between YOU and these hands.
7. Bring these hands to your heart center.
8. Say ‘Thank you for being part of me. I love you’.

This activity can help you connect with your world from within through your physical body. The physical body is known as the door into our inner world. This simple activity can be done in the office or anywhere you like it.

You can do the same activity again tomorrow and you may choose another part of the body like your feet, your eyes, your brain and so forth. You can skip step 7 or use visualization when you connect love between the body parts and your heart. The more you practice, the more deeper you connect with your true treasure – YOURSELF!

Lessons from A Crow

Crow, a common black bird on this beautiful Earth. The appearance of this bird always misunderstood by many people. Manipulated in the movies, many people tend to believe that whenever crows is nearby, dark forces is nearby too. Whether this is true or otherwise, crows are unique on its own. In the spirituality of Native America, Crows represent justice, spiritual strengths and more. And there is another kind of more.

On one fine morning, when I was reading a book, I’ve got visited by a crow. Her appearance was obvious, near and loud. I put down my book and observe this unique creature. In less than a minute, she has already taught me something beautiful about life.

The Lessons:

1. When the world mentally labeled that white is clean and pure, whereas black is dirty and dark, crows don’t care about these labels. They simply didn’t get identify with it. They accept the way they are and live the life by being themselves.

Lesson: Acceptance and detachment. When you accept yourself and detach from labels made by the mind, you get to connect with your true-self. And it is easier to be your true self without any mind label identification.

2. Have you seen any crow hidden behind the tree because she’s not as colorful as other birds? Have you seen any crow that feels so shy and hide her loud voice? Crows are one of the birds that appear in front of you with high self-esteem. One of the evidence is their appearance rather louder than silence. What are they telling us about self-esteem?

Lesson: Be loud and be bold about yourselves. Even if you feel that you are lack compare to others, even if you feel less pretty compare to others and many more of lack, accept it because it will help you increase your self-esteem.

Conclusion:

The Crow, a black bird with a high self-esteem

The Crow, a black bird with a high self-esteem

Accept whoever you are because acceptance is beautiful life in making. Never hide yourself. Face the world with all the self-esteem you have. Throughout the time, it will increase and become stronger inside you.

And always be proud of yourself! Expose your talents, your skills, your voice, your opinions, your knowledge about life from the world. Do it with kindness and love. What the world need right now is people who can fit the puzzle of life correctly by being themselves.

Remember this; when the crows not trying to be others, it gives a sense of beauty in the world of birds. The world has colorful birds and also just one color bird; the black crow. This is not sacrifice. This is the acceptance of being. And YOU are unique. We are unique. Only by being yourself, you are helping others being theirs. All of it will fit the puzzle of life beautifully.

The Unusual Meditation and Healing

It was a rainy night. The night breeze dancing softly throughout the spaces. I stood in front of the bird nest. There was a tiny mother bird in the nest with her two babies. The surrounding was quiet. I stood there for more than five minutes to observe the life of this beautiful creature.

They were quiet. Only sometimes, I could hear the babies were chipping with their soft tiny voices. One of the babies rested her head beside her mother. It was a beautiful scene.

Whenever the breeze reached the nest, it will swing slightly to the left and right, and yet the birds didn’t show any sign of worries or panic. The mother will close her eyes and feel the breeze. She only opened when there was any movement around her. I observed them with my body and feeling but not with my mind.

In silence, peace rose in me. The life of the birds was simple. In the silence and rainy night, they cuddle with love. No complaint. No worries. Only peace.

After I’ve done observing them, I said “Good night housemate. Thank you and I love you” (yes they’ve become the housemate and we are developing some kind of friendship these days). If you wonder why I thanked them; there are few reasons why:

First, they have helped me with my inner peace and joy. They also have helped me on healing by bring up the peace in me. The best part was they helped me strengthen up my senses as an Empath and understand energy through emotions and vibrations of sounds. They simply helped me Meditate. They have become my teachers; tiny in sizes but not in lessons.

If you have problem with the usual meditation, try something like this. I meditate this way quite often. I love what the nature have for us. Sometimes it only took me 5 to 10 minutes. Just observe your nature; birds, your pets like dog or cat, caterpillar, plants or trees. Observe it with your feeling and not with your mind (to avoid judgement and analyze). Observe it in silence as it bring out the peace in you. The peace is already there inside you and these beautiful creatures and nature can help you unleash it to the surface. And this peace can help you on healing especially emotion healing, anger, anxiety and depression.

How to Start Reading Habit?

Do you know that books can help you transform your life, see new perspectives in life and help you on your imagination? Yes, books not only give you the knowledge but words written in it can be powerful tools for you in making progress in your life.

Start your reading habit with 15 to 30 minutes first. Read a book and not a newspaper. Then make a habit to read at least 1 hour a day. If you cannot do a straight reading for an hour, divide it into 2 sessions of 30 minutes reading for each book. In my case, I read in the morning (I prefer to go for a self-help book) and in the evening (I prefer novels or biography). If I need to work away from home, I read in the car or after I had my breakfast (after the meals but before the coffee or tea in the cup finish).

Pick at least two books to read;

1. Books that can help you make progress in life. For example; Self-help, financial, relationship, business etc.
2. Books that can help you work out with your imagination: For example: novels, fictions etc.

Additional:
I would also love to recommend you to read biography/autobiography books. The reason is; you will see life from a different set of eyes and walk in the person’s shoes (having said that, pick the books wisely). My favourites were The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind and Richard Branson; Losing My Virginity.

Happy Reading to you!
