Do What We LOVE!

Work is also a prayer, not in the form of words but actions. When we love what we do, the doing become a meditation, the mind becomes creative, and the body become joyful.

But when we do not love the work we do, then the prayer is filled with un-love energies, the action is not powerful, and the body becomes weak and ill.

Do what you love. Start with that. Then the doing becomes natural and full of Love. It is one way to cherish yourself and honour your purposes. And through the doing, you get to share your deepest Love with the world.

How to Deal with Thoughts of Failure?

Go make mistakes today.

The first response you will get for yourself is FEAR. A sign your ego is at its defense ‘you cannot make mistakes because mistake is humiliating. You cannot fail because failure is humiliating’. Let the thought be. Acknowledge it but do not give energy to it. Do not analyze how far the future mistakes and failures would be. Don’t think further than the first thought.
This can stop the fear of failure from growing as a feeling, where it will let you sail with your unconscious belief that you can never achieve success in your life. If you sail together with these thoughts of failure far from your consciousness and far away from your awareness, you have already failed in reality.

Then make your first step, an opposite step of failure; a successful step. This is a crucial step because to do the opposite of failure is already a success. This success is far greater than the one you imagine would happen in the future because it heals the fear of failure in you in an instant. And because it increases your self-esteem one strength at the time.

Never fear failure because failure and success are equally divided. If you are making a success, you must expect failures. Likewise, if you are making failures, you must expect success. Both successes and failures draw each other closer. When you think of success, your mind draws the thought of failure too. When you think of failure, your mind draws the thought of success for you. It is not the success or failure that brings the fear in you but the conflict you have when these two entities draw each other. So it is important to aware that this is just your mind bring balance for you.

And for the third step, practice surrender. Sometimes thoughts can go wild on making you feel like a failure. Whatever you are thinking in your mind, ALWAYS trust your feeling, intuition, guts, God; that whatever failures you are experiencing, it is happening to MAKE YOU A SUCCESSFUL PERSON.

Now take a deep breath and get ready to make mistakes and face failures. Learn and forgive yourself along the journey. And see what is unfolding for you.

The Two People Who Celebrate New Year

It’s officially the last day of 2012! I hope you do have a great year in 2012. Before you go out there tonight to celebrate the New Year, please read the entire article.

Now, do you realize that people who celebrate the New Year are categorized into two groups? The first one is those who just want to party (drinks, dance and things I shall not mention in here). The other one are those who sums up the life they have spent in the past 364 days in a moment before New Year.

Yes! The Question (as always), which one is you?

Although both categories seem similar in a way that both celebrate the New Year event, but there is one distinction; acknowledgement of successes they achieved throughout the year of 2012.

The first one spends the moments with the crowds, do what the crowds do and live life to the fullest for a few hours. They become happy because everybody around is happy. Some become happy because they get to drink and scream Happy New Year! And so the rest is unknown.

The second one spends the moments with one extra thing is the list; celebration of successes they achieved in the past 365 days. Yes they celebrate it and perhaps scream the same three words but they take a moment to acknowledge their self efforts in making their life better. The moment of acknowledgement always comes with gratitude, a key towards beautiful life. And so the rest is in the process of unfolding more beauties in life.

Understand these two groups, one wakes up in the morning living the same 1st January every year. The other one wakes up in the morning to a new life. If you may, be the one that wakes up to a new life.

If you have not achieved your dream in 2012, you can still celebrate one thing left: your awareness of transforming your life. Start with a question to yourself: Do you want to do the same thing in 2013, just like the 2012, 2011, 2010? Do you want to live the same year for 50 years? If you say yes, happy boring life to you.

Happy New Year 2013 to all of you; beautiful souls. Remember to rewards YOU for the successes and Thank YOU for the experiences you got into in 2012. May 2013 unfold the beauty of life to you.

The Reversi Game of Life

Life is always hard on us. I agree with the statement and many people do too. But why life is hard on us? If life is so beautiful, why life treats us ‘ugly’? The reason is; to teach us act the opposite acts. If you are:

  • Feeling weak; get up to prove your strengths.
  • Feeling lost; keep moving and ask for direction because new direction is unfolding before you.
  • Feeling empty; fill yourself with love. Not people. Certainly not any materials.
  • Feeling hatred; fill your own self with forgiveness.
  • Feeling lack;, fill yourself with gratitude.
  • Feeling busy; learn to manage time.
  • Emotionally mess; list it on paper. An act of listing ‘cure’ messiness.
  • Feeling sad; fill yourself with patience.
  • Feeling pain; allow healing to fill in.
  • Feeling darkness; learn to be the light.
  • Feeling tied up; learn to let-it-go.

Sometimes all we have to do is the opposite of what have been given to us. Just like the game called Reversi. When life turns into ‘black’, we have to turn it back into ‘white’ and win the game. By doing this, we are not only learning to survive but also learn the value of every act and situation we experienced. This is how to tell ourselves, our minds and our lives that we are getting better than good.

So whenever life is hard on you, please DO whatever it takes to live the life you DESIRE. You deserve it!

Why You Should Start Small?

When I experienced spiritual awakening many months ago, two beautiful mentors advised me to take baby steps in understanding what is happening to me spiritually. With the baby steps tips they guided me, I managed to walk through the period with better understanding of myself entirely. The baby steps moments did give me opportunities to understand each detail from each experience. Most important thing is, it has stopped me from running away (from fear). In the end of the journey, instead of feeling drain with all the emotional and spiritual roller coaster moments, I still have my strengths with me.

In achieving our goals, dreams or in business, we have to do the same thing too. I’ve seen people who dreamed big and started big. Often they failed because when they start big, they actually didn’t start anything but keep on dreaming.

Start small or start big in this term did not refer to quantity of money or size of contracts (since we speak about business too) but it is in terms of quantity and quality of actions and energy you put to make things stay in motion.

Here are the reasons why I always suggest you start small in achieving your goals and dreams:

1. Start small will not drain your energy.
2. Start small but consistent will form a habit in you. Positive habit keeps you going and partly contributes to success.
3. Start small will not make you lost focus.
4. Start small gives you enough for you to enjoy.
5. When you make mistakes, it is easier to track the problem and get the solution when it is small.
6. Accumulation of all small acts will eventually become big one day.

So whoever you want to be in your life; artists, businessman or businesswomen, writers, politicians, chefs or whatever are your goals, always..always…start small and work on it every day. Eventually it will get you there if you never stop putting the momentum on it.

The Story about Me and Writing

Back in the 90s, I wrote short stories and poem because I loved it. And all the stuffs I wrote, I kept it in the drawers. Not many people know I wrote these stuffs except my beautiful niece. I wrote and I kept it. That’s it. I never get it published. My niece inspired me long time ago when she wrote same stuffs too and she got it published (if I’m not mistaken in local newspaper).

When I reached 18 years old, I stop writing. I wanted to believe that my passions are all about sciences. Dreams I dreamed mostly science related like I want to be an engineer or pharmacist. Of course none of these happened. I ended up earning income in the line of accounting (the subject I used to hate the most when I was in high school) for four years before pursuing the line of operations and managements in Logistic. All I have learned were numbers and people skills but none of these lead me to write.

Circa 2005, a friend of mine suggested I write drama script but I didn’t go for it. In 2008, I tried to write a blog but after few posts, I got bored. I don’t usually share about my life online. I prefer to write something inspiring or stories about love and life. But all I did was stop to write.

Two years later, when I realized that I got a lot to inspire people through writing, I decided to write again. This time, I narrowed down to motivation and personal growth. I’ve told myself after all the clues given to me from time to time, why should I stop? Equipped with motivation I had with me that time, I’ve told few people about my dream – to be a writer. Many disapproved because it is hard to make money through writing. Besides, my English is not that perfect. So I agree with them. Only this time, I decided not to stop.

One of my dreams is to get my articles or story published in magazine or newspaper. I approached this magazine (Waves Lifestyle Magazine) in 2011 but I didn’t get the shot. Later on, somewhere in August 2012, the editor of the magazine, Ms. Priya Manikam offered the opportunity for me to write motivation column for their magazine. She required a sample but I sent her two samples. Turned out, she loves both of it. She said (and I quoted);

“Your column is well liked by us. Keep staying inspired and take care”

Today, I received the hard-copy of the magazine and saw my first article titled: Inner Healing for Loneliness in page 36. After I took some photos, I walked to the book shelf and grabbed my journal. I flipped the page where I wrote Goals and Dreams to Achieve and checked off these two items:

Be a writer.
Publish articles in magazine/newspaper.

….And I’m glad I didn’t stop like I did before.

After been away from Internet for 5 days, I came back online and started to search for motivational posters to post in my Facebook Page and one poster caught my attention. It was beautifully quote by an unknown person (God bless You). Personally I would like to thank the person who quoted it, the person who designed it and those who shared it in the net.

The deal about the quote is to remind you that whenever you feel pressure in life or you think life is very hard on you, think about the caterpillars and butterflies, sand and pearls, coal and diamonds. It is not just about motivation. It is simply a science of life. It’s a motion of progress. It’s a transmutation and transformation. Like these elements named above, you and I are just like them. We all are.

Whenever you feel pressure or stress about the hard life you are going through, remember that you are transforming to the beautiful side of you, to the glory and success. Be patience and embrace the pressure with love. Time, love and patience will make sure your transformation is beautifully done.

And in the end, the lessons and progress within the transformation will be the things that make you extraordinary and beautiful.

I read her victory story from Yahoo news just now and one thing caught my attention; her powerful affirmation that she said to herself for many years. Her affirmation is simple and yet very powerful.

“”Kayla Harrison IS an Olympic champion.” 

And she won first U.S Olympic Judo gold medal.

What she said is a powerful affirmation that light up her spirit. Every time she said it, the creation is in the process. The affirmation creates belief in her entire system. When all her system (body, mind, emotion and spiritual) gets the same direction, they work in harmony. The affirmation is powerful motivation to her and it leads her entirely to win the gold medal. It helped her to visualize the moments she wants and she did it. Look at how powerful an affirmation works on us, even it is just a simple one.

5 Things You Should Avoid In The Morning

Do you know that morning is the most powerful time of the day for every human? You must have heard breakfast is the most important meals of the day, morning sun gives you Vitamin D, doors of wealth opened up in the morning, birds start their life when the sun rise, your throat chakra and relate to the thyroid system energized well in the morning especially before the sun rise and if you exercise in the morning, you would feel productive throughout the day.

Morning life does not just give you all above. It gives power to your mind and emotions. Activities that you do in the morning have great affect to your body, mind and emotion. Many people didn’t realize how some unnecessary rituals in the morning could affect your being throughout the day. Here are the lists of the unnecessary things you should avoid early in the morning.

1. Reading tragic news.
If you enjoy reading newspaper early in the morning, avoid reading tragic and death story like accidents. Story like this sell the newspaper but didn’t give contribution to the victims and to the readers except the power to create more accidents through the imagination. Not just that, each story creates sadness and this feeling will be remembered as part of the feeling you own to yourself. Bit by bit of this feeling will be carried throughout the day and contributed as unnecessary feelings to your emotion. Read inspiring story or business news instead.

2. Sleeping.
Every great people in the world do not spend their morning with sleeping. Instead, they work their masterpieces during the morning hours. Great people and achievers know that morning has power that gives them momentum to keep moving. If you have a dream to achieve, first thing first; wake up early in the morning and turn your dream into reality. If you really need to catch some sleep, take a nap for 20 minutes in the early afternoon.

3. Drinking Coffee
I used to disagree to this because I love coffee in the morning. But here’s the fact, coffee dehydrate the body. When your body feel dehydrate, you started to feel sleepy and tired. In keeping you moving throughout the morning, coffee is not the best drink to have. The best drink is plain water. Water help stimulate the power and life you get from the morning energy. Second of all, coffee is best to be enjoyed slowly and when you feel sleepy in the afternoon. So go for the coffee after your lunch break, not early in the morning.

4. Complaining. 
Anything that you can wait from complaining, it’s worth the wait! Do not spend your morning energy on complaining especially on the unnecessary things like complaining about your boss, complaining about the traffic jammed, complaining about the foods you have for breakfast and so forth. Complaining drains your energy easily. Complaining stops wealth from coming to you. If you really have to say something, say it in a request manner, not complaining.

5. Talk About Yesterday’s Unfortunate Events.
People who talk about yesterday’s unfortunate events will always have problem to move forward in life. What had happened in yesterday, stay in yesterday. Do not waste your beautiful morning life on things that already happened in the past. Morning gives new life to every creature in the Universe including You. It gives you opportunity to start new every single day. Start it with lots of smile. If you have to resolve a conflict or problem that tie to the unfortunate event, do it positively and not emotionally. It helps you cut the cord between you and the unfortunate events easily.
