Should I Write A Book? (Spoiler Alert: Yes – Here Are 4 Reasons Why)
If you’re asking yourself, “Should I write a book?” the answer is probably “yes”.
In fact, that’s one of the most popular questions people ask me these days.
It seems most people have a gut feeling that writing a book could change their lives. But for some reason, they are hesitant to get started simply because they aren’t familiar with the process – or even worse – afraid of trying only to fail in the end.
Before you think twice about it, you should know:
Anyone can learn how to write a book.
Yes. Even you!
Inside of you, there lies a passion to write your first book on a subject that’s important to you.
You just need a process and some encouragement. The rest is easy!
You see:
I’ve written and published over 70 books in as many as 42 languages and sold over 10 million copies over the years.
I accomplished this after starting from nothing, and not knowing what I was doing at all – and you can too!
There are several reasons why I decided to do this…
But the biggest reason was to spread my message about subjects that I felt very passionate about.
Today I want to talk to you about why you should write your first book and the many benefits that come from being a being able to put that you’re a published author in your bio.
1) You Can Share Your Message With Others
Another reason you should write a book is that it provides an opportunity for you to write and publish something on a subject that is important to you and that you will have for the rest of your life. You can express your creativity while sharing your message with others.
One of the Universal Laws of Success is the “Law of Service” and it says:
Your rewards in life will be in direct proportion to the value of your service to others. The more you work, study, and develop your ability to contribute more to the lives and well-being of others, the better life you will have in all areas.
Chances are if you are passionate about a certain subject, other people are too. And by writing a book about that subject, you can help others in their own lives and, in turn, help yourself achieve a more fulfilled life.
2) Writing a Book is an Instant Credibility Booster
From a business perspective, writing a book is the fastest way to gain credibility, establish yourself as an expert in your field, and build a professional reputation. It can also be used as a promotional item and marketing tool for your business.
Think about it: What sort of impression do you get when you meet someone who has become a published author?
Without even knowing them, you might assume that if they were able to write an entire book and get it published, they must be an expert.
Want to know their big secret?
Most authors simply learned how to write a book by following a proven system used by other published authors.
3) You’ll Make A Valuable Contribution To Your World
The more you work, study, and develop your ability to contribute to the lives and well-being of others, the better your life will be in all areas.
Chances are if you are passionate about a certain subject, other people are too.
You just need to take the first step and learn how to start a book – after that, you simply need to write consistently. If you choose a subject that you are truly passionate about, it won’t seem like work, and the pages should almost write themselves.
The best part:
By writing a book about that subject, you can help others in their own lives. In turn, you can achieve a more fulfilled life for yourself.
That is why I urge you to write a book. Not only will you educate others, but you will learn something about yourself. Your message matters, and it will live on forever.
4) Writing a Book is a Skill You Can Master
Just like riding a bicycle, writing a book is a skill that you can master with focused practice and repetition.
Before I started writing books, I never considered myself to be a writer. I didn’t graduate high school and I failed high school English. So if I can do it, you can too.
I’ve created several resources, courses, and writing tips that will teach you exactly HOW to write your first book, including how to create the perfect book title.
